Teaching Assistant, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Purdue Univeristy

Lab Instructor

PHYS 263 - Descriptive Astronomy: The Solar System, Fall 2014, 2013, 2011, 2010
PHYS 264 - Descriptive Astronomy: Stars and Galaxies, Spring 2014, 2011
As a Teaching Assistant for 2 lab sections I was responsible for supervising the labs, creating and administering quizzes, setting up telescopes and guiding constellation spotting sessions. The class typically consisted of students from departments outside of science and engineering. Hence, it was a very unique and rewarding experience interacting and teaching concepts in physics, astronomy and mathematics to students of various majors.

Recitation and Lab Instructor

PHYS 272: Electric and Magnetic Interactions, Summer 2011
I was responsible for helping students solve problem sets during recitations for a vector-calculus based course on electricity and magnetism. In addition to the recitations, I supervised the labs which typically involved graphical simulations and solving problems numerically using VPython.

Physics Help Center

PHYS 241: Electricity and Optics, Summer 2014
I was responsible for helping students solve homework problems in the physics help center as well as Piazza (an online Q&A forum).
